The Complete Saatva Review

Why Should You Consider a Saatva?

With so many mattresses available on the market, finding the one that will perfectly fit your sleeping needs can be a challenge. Recently, we tried out the Saatva Mattress. This mattress features a unique construction method known as “coil on coil” with two sets of coils serving different purposes.

The first set is the individually wrapped comfort coils. These are at the top of the mattress right below the organic cotton cover and euro pillow top. These coils are meant to contour and mold around the shape of the sleeper’s body.

The second set of coils are the steel coils. This is the primary support that helps the longevity of the mattress (which they guarantee for 12 to 15 years).

This is the perfect mattress for someone that wants to steer clear of solid memory foam mattresses yet still wants revolutionary comfort thanks to an improved design and innovative features.

Sleeping Positions

There are three sleeping positions that we use to review mattresses: back, side, and stomach. Because the Saatva mattress comes in three different firmness levels, we've rated how well the mattress performs under these three sleeping positions below.

One thing that is worth mentioning here relates to the construction of the mattress. When you compare the Saatva mattress to others of similar size in this category, you’ll find that the Saatva actually offers more sleeping room.

While most mattresses might start to sag at the edges, offering little in the way of support, if you’re an edge-of-the-bed sleeper, you’ll like this one. Around the perimeter of the Saatva mattress is the Dual Perimeter Edge Support System. This layer of anti-sag edge support not only keeps the Saatva more structurally stable but will give you even more room to sleep!

Firmness Review

There are three different firmness levels of the Saatva Mattress: Plush Soft, Luxury Firm, and Firm. Each offers a unique firmness level, and if you know the type of firmness you like in a mattress, you'll be able to find one that fits your needs.

The Plush Soft is best for side sleepers that want to feel like they sink into the bed while they sleep. Luxury Firm is the perfect in-between and comparable to most of the high-end mattresses found in hotels. This level is great for all sleepers. Finally, Firm is best for people that sleep on their back or stomach. It provides tremendous support and feels like you’re floating on the mattress.

Value for the Money

Saatva prides itself on cutting out the middleman and offering customer premium, hotel-quality mattresses at a more affordable price. Right now you can purchase mattresses from them ranging from $599 for the twin size to $1,399 for the California King. With all of the features in the construction of the mattress and quality of sleep, this price is a good value.

Free Trial

Saatva offers customers a full 120-day in-home free trial. This is a great option so you can make sure you like the mattress before you make the investment.

Overall

All things considered, Saatva offers high-quality mattresses at a reasonable price. While there are cheaper mattresses available, you won't find similar comfort and quality levels at this same price-point.
