The Complete Tempur-Pedic TEMPUR Adapt Review
Why Should You Consider a TEMPUR Adapt?
With the market full of affordable memory foam mattresses, industry legends Tempur-Pedic aim to provide a top-quality foam mattress that promises to maximize comfort and offer the most luxurious sleep
The Tempur-Pedic TEMPUR Adapt is available as an all-foam or hybrid and also comes in different comfort levels to help sleepers find the best level to match their firmness preference.
Is the TEMPUR Adapt worth the money? Let’s take a closer look.
TEMPUR Adapt by Tempur-Pedic
For the purposes of our review, we always test each mattress for the three most common sleeping positions: back, side, and stomach. When testing the Tempur-Pedic TEMPUR Adapt, we found that the medium comfort level mattress performed excellently across all comfort levels. It didn't have that ultra-plush, sink-into-the-bed type of feeling, yet it gently hugged the form of the sleeper’s body.
If you wanted something that provided additional support, the hybrid, innerspring version of the Adapt will do just that.
You can purchase the TEMPUR Adapt in three different comfort levels, but today we’re only looking at the medium comfort level. As you might expect, medium falls right in the middle of the spectrum and is ideal for someone that isn’t too picky about the firmness of their mattress.
On a scale from one to ten, with ten being hard as a rock and one being a cloud, this mattress scores around a 4.5. It’s a tiny bit more on the softer side (the hybrid mattress will lean more on the firmer side) but it great for all sleeping positions.
This all comes down to the construction of the TEMPUR Adapt. There is a total of three layers. The top Cool-to-Touch Cover provides a cool feel that disperses body heat well. Beneath that is the TEMPUR-ES Comfort Layer, which provides a softer feel that will comfortably conform to the shape of the sleeper. Finally, the bottom TEMPUR Support Layer is there to deliver what the company claims as "personalized comfort and support".
Value for the Money
The King size version of the TEMPUR Adapt currently goes for close to $2,700 which is not cheap by any means. When compared to other foam mattresses in this category we’ve found that you can find similar mattresses for almost a full $1,000 less.
You're essentially paying a premium for the Tempur-Pedic name and the trust that comes along with it. They do offer a phenomenal warranty, and the materials and construction were top-notch.
Tempur-Pedic offers customers a 90-night in-home trial to test the mattress before committing to the $2,700 price tag.
If you have the money to spend and insist on sleeping on a mattress from one of the biggest names in bedding, the Tempur-Pedic TEMPUR Adapt might be the choice for you. However, if you’re looking for a bargain, we’d recommend you take a look at some of the other mattresses available in this category for far less.
